Drama club

Mr.Hart runs a drama club every Friday after school. He is planning to do a summer production called Strictly Ballroom. It is quite popular around the school and a lot of people are interested. Mr.Hart said that we would have to dance with a partner, but only key- stage 2 are allowed to take part. It involves main characters and able dancers. Mr.Hart is choosing the roles according to how much he can depend on us from the past. We have started to learn some of the dance moves already!!! He says we have to have special abilities like reliability and bouncebackability.

Zoning Our Playground

We are going to zone our playground and that means there will be no footballs whatsoever on Tuesday and Thursday. There will be certain sections to play hundreds of different types of activities such as netball, hockey etc, etc.

Tudors Edward VI

In our topic we are doing the Tudors and just about to learn about Edward VI. We’ve learned about Henry VII and Henry VIII and his six wives. These are the wives, Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Catherine Howard, Catherine Parr. Edward VI was Jane Seymour’s son. Henry VIII loved Jane Seymour the most because she had a son.

Football Club

Football club is run by Mr Chappel. We do lots of skills including goalie skills, defending skills, striking skills and all of the other positions. Our football club is made from Ipswich fans and many more. Some of the people in our football club play for proper football clubs like Halstead, Hedingham and Bures. There are two different groups : the older group, and the younger group.

The Playground

The playground is a enjoyable place to relax from work. We are going to have new zoning areas where people can do different activities. We have introduced a rule where on Tuesdays and Thursdays people are not allowed to have any footballs out what so ever and most people agree. There are 2 netball posts and we love playing down on the field, doing gymnastic moves and playing with our friends. Also it gives the key stage 1 more chance to have more space at play time. Pupils like the idea of our playground rules and can’t wait to see it in action.

Mr Handy and Mrs Graves have come up with an idea, three people do a presentation. We get two weeks to practice, we can bring in props or any other kind of information, or you can make a power point which our teacher will put on the smart board.

Tudors

We have been learning about the Tudors as our topic. It has been very exciting for the past few weeks with Mr.Handy and Mrs.Graves. We have been doing a lot of King Henry VIII stuff and Henry VII. We got books from our homes and school. Everyone found out loads about it. By R.L. AND J.R.

For our topic we are doing about the Tudors and we are doing Henry VIII and his six wives. This is the poem: Divorced, Be-headed, Died, Divorced, Be-headed, Survived. We also learned about how Henry Tudor became the first Tudor King. He won a battle called the Battle Of Bosworth against King Richard III. We imagined we were paid to do a picture of him(HenryVII). In Holst class we are doing presentations. You get drawn every Friday and the presentation will be in two weeks time. TL,LF,CB,BM,DM, and CH have done their presentations already and ZS,DF and AM are doing it this week on Friday. Your presentation can be on any thing you like .

Ratios

Mrs. Graves has been teaching us ratios. We have learnt a lot in 2 days. Ratios are like 3:1. We have learnt how to write them. Before we had never heard of them now we are very good at them.
