Important Christmas Date for your diary:

‘Christmas Shoeboxes 2009′

A huge ‘THANK YOU’ for your generous response to Operation Christmas Child. Today seventy one boxes were blessed in a special service taken by Rector Keith Holloway before going to the Sudbury depot. After the service, six pupils were able to visit the depot and help organise the boxes for transport to Belarus.

‘Speed Challenge’

We have been in touch with Sports Connections to chase up the footballs, medals, etc outstanding from the sponsored speed challenge. We are informed they will be delivered next week.

‘Our Outdoor Learning Environment’

The Asia Garden, as you can see, is developing and the children were delighted to see the arrival of ‘Oscar’ the elephant on Thursday. He has been named after Mr. Pickess who has kindly donated it to the school. The swimming pool area as you may remember is Australasia so keep looking out for the changes there as well as the other continents of Africa, Europe and America. A castle, boomerangs, Manhattan skyline and African prints and prairie will begin appearing over the next few months. It is very exciting for the children and staff as we develop our outdoor learning environment. Once completed, we intend to use the outdoor space more often as an outdoor classroom. After all, the world will be just outside our backdoor!

Calculation, Calculation, Calculation Evening

All Parents and Carers are invited to the Maths Calculations Evening on Monday, 30th November at 6.00pm. This event is for both you and your child/children to attend. Please do make the effort to attend – it will make a difference to how you and your child approach maths together. There will also be an opportunity to begin a Maths Adult Learning Programme in school starting in January. Why not sharpen your own maths skills whilst working alongside your child. Find out more about this offer on the evening.
